Merv Leffler, having been raised on a dairy farm and involved with auctions at an early age, developed a great interest in the auction profession. After passing the Indiana Real Estate Broker’s examination in 1968, he was called to military duty. After serving in the U.S. Army, he attended Reppert Auction School in 1971, and immediately started in the auction business. Since 1972, he has conducted hundreds of auctions in 15 states. At the same time, Mr. Leffler was a working partner in Thermtech Systems, Inc., designing and fabricating process heating systems for nationally recognized companies, including Babcock & Wilcox, BWXT, RR Donnelley & Sons, and numerous others. The family now owns and still operates the company located in Gas City, Indiana.

In 1982, Terry Price and Merv Leffler formed Price-Leffler Complete Sales Service. Both partners were heavily involved in the dairy industry, so it was a natural for the partnership be formed. Price-Leffler has conducted hundreds of auctions covering five states over the last 40 years. Price-Leffler pedigree services was established in 1986 and was one of the first livestock auction computerized catalog systems ever!
